WHAT WE BELIEVE

We align with the statement of belief from Catch The Fire.

  1. We believe there is one God who lives forever in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
  1. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to the world, speaking to us with authority and without error. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  1. We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love. (John 1:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
  1. We believe that all mankind are lost in sin and need to turn from it and trust personally in the Savior, Jesus Christ. All need to be born anew by the Holy Spirit’s power into God’s family. (Ephesians 2:1-10; John 3:5-7)
  1. We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He works in and through us with His charismatic gifts. (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
  1. We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgement for the lost. (Matthew 25:31-46)
  1. We believe in unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and seek community together: we want to become more like Him in every way, who is the head of His body, the Church. We are called to love Him and one another and are enabled to do this only as His life flows through us. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 22:37-40)
  1. We believe the Scriptures teach that marriage is the covenanting together of one man and one woman in a union to the exclusion of all others. This union is established by an authorized ceremony under God. Marriage is a unique reflection of God’s faithful love for all humankind. The relationship of husband and wife, as family, reflects the covenanting and self-giving love between Christ and His Bride, the Church. The pledge of mutual faithfulness is not tentative or conditional. The permanent nature of the marriage bond gives security and promotes the development of a trusting relationship. The Church has a responsibility to care for, nurture and prayerfully support the marriage relationship and the children of the union. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18; Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 7:4-5; Ephesians 5:25)

      WE VALUE

We align with the values expressed from Catch The Fire.

      PRESENCE

      Hosting God’s Presence

God is with us. He is present, tangible and loves to manifest His presence, power and glory. We are hungry to intentionally experience God and be immersed in the fire of His love in our personal lives and our church gatherings.

      Worshipping God Passionately

God is worthy and Heaven is perpetually worshiping Him for who He is. It is our joy to glorify God above all else and in all circumstances. We intentionally position ourselves to be worshippers as individuals and when we gather together.

      Living in Friendship with God

God is alive, relational, always speaking and wants to be pro-actively involved in our lives. Through prayer, studying God’s word and the pursuit of intimacy with Him, we know his voice and grow in obedience to His will. As lovers of Jesus we are longing for His return.

Passionately Persevering in Prayer and Faith

God is moved by our hearts and invites us to lovingly pursue Him. We passionately desire to seek God with perseverance and experiencing Him makes the impossible possible here on earth, as it is in heaven. Our faith is in the God of the impossible.

      Loving Local Church

God loves His church. It’s His perfect plan to reveal and establish his Kingdom on earth through local churches. We cherish and honor His presence in the gathered church, welcoming manifestations of His glory. We honor and recognize the five-fold ministries of Jesus in the churches. These churches also function to love, equip and launch people into their destinies; transforming their spheres of influence.

      Having Fun

God is good. He is glorified when we enjoy him forever. Knowing who we are in Christ, we live in his pleasure, unshakeable joy, rest and peace. We cultivate a lifestyle anchored in God, which is fun and sustainable.

      ENCOUNTER

      Encountering God

God is glorious. We pursue the divine invitation of knowing God face to face and being impacted by His glory in real, tangible, course-correcting, life-changing ways. These defining moments are vital and become catalysts for growth in relationship, character and anointing.

      Living in the Father’s Love

God is Love. We were created by Love and for Love. Everybody needs to feel, know, and experience the unconditional, extravagant love of Father God. We live with God as our true Father, just like Jesus did, and His love revolutionizes our lives.

      Being one with Christ Jesus

God is One, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. At the Cross, Christ Jesus, the Son of God, became one with us in our sin and death, so that we could become one with Him in His righteousness and eternal resurrection life. We live in union with Christ Jesus, one Spirit with Him, as beloved sons and daughters, loved by the Father as much as He loves Jesus, joined into their perfect relationship forever.

      Ministering in the Holy Spirit

God’s power and anointing flow through us just as it did through Jesus and His Disciples. We purposefully partner with the Holy Spirit, healing the sick, imparting the anointing and experiencing the power of God.

Honoring the Word and the Spirit

God is Spirit. We experience relationship with God in Spirit and in truth. We are led by the Holy Spirit who gives us insight, understanding and wisdom in the knowledge of God as we read, study, meditate, preach, honor and obey the scriptures of the Bible, the Word of God.

        TRANSFORMATION

        Manifesting God’s Kingdom

God is King and his Kingdom is always advancing. As the Father sent Jesus into the world to declare and demonstrate His Kingdom, so Jesus has sent us. Together in Christ, we have power and authority to influence our families, marketplaces, cities and nations. We change the world through Presence based churches, missions, ministries and marketplace organizations.

        Facilitating Salvations

God is salvation. Christ Jesus is the centre of our faith and we are made one with Him through His death and resurrection. We want to see the world come to know Jesus and experience the freedom, authority and transformation of a life surrendered to Him as His disciples.

        Pursuing Heart Healing

We are called to become like Jesus, not just in our outward actions but in our inner being. God desires for each of us to intentionally enter into this continuing journey of transformation, wholeness and maturity [through healthy connection with God and others]. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in complete healing and freedom.

        Being Vulnerable and Authentic

God is real. True godly identity and grace makes us safe to be transparent. Knowing who we are in Christ allows us to be vulnerable and transparent in our relationships and our ministry. We believe that growth starts with humility and authenticity.

        Living Generously

God is an open-handed giver who delights in providing for us. We want to imitate God in his generosity and demonstrate faith and trust in him, being generous in all areas of life.

        Raising the Next Generation

God is a long-range multi-generational thinker. We intentionally develop leaders and raise spiritual sons and daughters to become excellent mothers and fathers in the Kingdom. We honor men and women in leadership alongside one another developing a healthy family culture through loving and empowering others.

        Serving the Poor and Oppressed

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne, and remembering the poor is His apostolic call to the church. We seek to love and serve the poor and the oppressed locally, regionally and globally.
